Cookies and your choices

What cookies do
Cookies are small pieces of information saved in your browser. They can remember a choice or help a website recognise a visit. We also use similar temporary browser storage. This page explains both.
Necessary cookies
These support essential features and are not used for optional visit statistics. Remembering your choice: after you accept or reject optional cookies, we remember that choice for 180 days so we can respect it. The cookie is called mtb-consent. Staff sign-in: a cookie called admin-token keeps authorised staff signed in for up to 24 hours. It is only set when staff sign in; ordinary visitors do not receive it. Signing out removes it.
Optional cookies and visit statistics
With your permission, we use temporary browser storage to understand how people use the website. It connects activity during a visit, including the types of pages viewed, links and buttons clicked, time spent here, the website you came from and screen size. It does not record what you type into the enquiry form. This temporary reference is called mtb-analytics-session and normally lasts until you close the browser tab or session. Rejecting optional cookies removes it. The resulting website statistics have a 90-day retention period and are removed through routine deletion checks. Vercel and Neon help us process and store these statistics. This is our only optional category. We do not use advertising cookies or track your activity across other websites.
You are in control
Choose “Necessary cookies only” to decline optional visit statistics, or “Accept optional cookies” to allow them. Both choices let you use the website and send an enquiry. Necessary cookies remain available for the features described above. You can reopen Cookie settings in the footer at any time. Withdrawing permission stops future collection but does not automatically erase statistics already collected. If your browser blocks cookies or sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, optional measurement stays off. You can also clear cookies using your browser settings; this may reset your preference or sign you out if you are a staff member.
Other websites and browser storage
Your browser may save copies of images and other page files to load them faster. Social links open separate websites, which have their own cookie and privacy policies. For more about the personal information used on this website, read our Privacy notice.
